Bureaucracy, hierarchical bullying, leaders and lowly followers, and any different kind of governing at the expense and exploitation with the governed... these are hurtful and criminal systems for that benefit with the few and also the misery with the many. There are better ways of living and working together. I have proposed and exercised a lot simpler, balanced, harmonious, and successful guideline for any good teacher and willing students to really work and learn together.
Leadership and responsibility are shared equally, provided that all individuals a bunch first understand how it works and second, are needing to enjoy its productivity and share joy of learning and working together.
Much with the old "system" must necessarily be dispensed with: the pressures of fear, punishment, totalitarian authority, ugly competition, as well as a resulting deficiency of learning, joy, and boundless deficiency of productivity. Replacing these "traditional" habits of non-learning with clean attitudes of tending to one another's qualities and abilities, sharing and helping, and creating a a sense confidence and trust in your own integrity understanding that of your respective fellows... and seeing and experiencing and enjoying the infinite benefits... this is just what we had arrived all able to accomplish together.
Each individual is because of the connection with planning and undertaking an idea drawn up by every single member with the group, using the teacher's guidance and experience as a resource of proper use. First, the agenda of assorted skills is drawn up and decided, each causing and approving in our outline products we should learn. Thus... we have a plan, a syllabus, by which to draw our way of life of curriculum and learning.
Next, we evaluate which kind of leadership or management qualities are necessary, as a way to accomplish real learning skills together. The literal qualities: subject preparation; understanding group dynamics; and making the perfect use in our time together. Also... collecting our work material together, for daily use. The abstract qualities: various different ways; caring for that productivity of each member with the group; creating a well-earned pride in the advancement of each individual; concern for individual and group behavior and harmony; experiencing and enjoying the vast various skills and experience that can be achieved; transferring the training skills and subject content at night Cheap Classroom Furniture Canada, as life lessons.
What specific duties must each of us experience, as a way to make this daily venture successful? To love who we have been and what we have been engaged in. Yes! This is the best of living, in and out with the classroom. Loving our work... and working to like our everyday life.
We rotate leadership and management duties, once our agenda can be acquired by which to draw for the daily lessons. Two students at any given time... work cooperatively as co-teachers; they must both prepare before hand so that they can be relied upon to maintain things moving smoothly. At the same time, the scholars want this pair to have success: if the student teachers flourish, so will the rest with the class. They help the other to have success... as a bunch effort.
We also rotate other Cheap Classroom Furniture Canada management duties, i.e... the passing and collecting of materials; posting the daily agenda on the board; welcoming one's fellows upon arrival and causing immediately getting down to business; becoming host to any and visitors, and looking after interruptions quickly and efficiently; taking attendance (to be checked with the teacher); active and giving aid wherever necessary; keeping a simple journal/log in our day's accomplishments, to be eventually used with the next pair of student teachers to produce their plans, keeping transition as smooth as you possibly can.
We must encourage willing and able for flexibility and spontaneity in the way you make valuable use in our time together. Issues come up... that want immediate attention. In addition, we should periodically evaluate how we have been all doing. What are our strengths? Where might we improve? This is necessarily a constant process. Be as genuinely upbeat and encouraging as you possibly can. Once again... this learning experience transfers to each person's own life situation. Think of how this may and does benefit future and current family and community life. It works! The best critics and supporters... are the scholars themselves.
It can be a beautiful experience, also from my perspective as both an instructor and student. Much affection is openly encouraged. Students are needing to come to class. Boredom and also the should cheat fade from existence. Memorable moments are experienced. Students invited others to go to: parents, personnel, community mentors, siblings, plus visitor/participants from your "special class" which, subsequently, invited our students to come to their room and present to them also. Their teacher was thrilled to participate in. A not-so-foreign exchange.
Perhaps our only problem: just not plenty of time to do everything we had arrived needing to accomplish. Hence... it became the individual's replacement for carry on and develop his/her own objectives beyond our limited class time. Many "projects" were done outside, therefore the effects were shared using the group. Fantastic variety! One senior lad had initiated his or her own business by ordering one porta-potty to be rented for farmworkers in the field (having not one other such facility); he earned enough, eventually, to purchase another one, continuing to keep them very well. An accomplishment for himself... and others. A young woman inside a junior class crocheted warm and attractive baby blankets to be first given and later on sold as lovely and useful items; I still use mine, a long time later.
Life skills were a consistent, including curriculum lessons and creating a lifelong joy and appreciation for learning, and living as good a life as you possibly can, plus through an immediate and extended positive impact on others. Horizontal management... a blessing to any or all... as well as a horizon without limit or boundaries.
