Bureaucracy, hierarchical bullying, leaders and lowly followers, as well as any other type of governing with the expense and exploitation of the governed... these are hurtful and criminal systems to the benefit of the few as well as the misery of the many. There are better ways of living and dealing together. I have proposed and exercised an extremely simpler, balanced, harmonious, and successful guideline for the good teacher and willing students to really work and learn together.
Leadership and responsibility are shared equally, providing all folks friends first understand how it works and second, are needing to enjoy its productivity and share joy of learning and dealing together.
Much of the old "system" must necessarily be dispensed with: the pressures of fear, punishment, totalitarian authority, ugly competition, along with a resulting not enough learning, joy, and boundless not enough productivity. Replacing these "traditional" habits of non-learning with clean attitudes of caring for one another's qualities and abilities, sharing and helping, and creating a feeling of confidence and trust in ones own integrity which of the fellows... and seeing and exceptional infinite benefits... this is exactly what we had arrived all capable to accomplish together.
Each individual is in the connection with planning and performing an agenda picked by just about every member of the group, with the teacher's guidance and experience as a resource of excellent use. First, the agenda of various skills is picked and agreed upon, each adding to and approving in our outline of the we would like to learn. Thus... you will find there's plan, a syllabus, out of which to draw our day to day activities of curriculum and learning.
Next, we determine what sort of leadership or management qualities are essential, in order to accomplish real learning skills together. The literal qualities: subject preparation; understanding group dynamics; and making perfect use in our time together. Also... collecting our work material together, for daily use. The abstract qualities: number of different ways; caring to the productivity of each member of the group; having a well-earned pride in the advancement of each individual; concern for individual and group behavior and harmony; experiencing the vast number of skills and experience that may be achieved; transferring the educational skills and subject content past the Learning Games For 1st Graders Spelling, as life lessons.
What specific duties must each of us experience, in order to make this daily venture a hit? To love who we're and what we're engaged in. Yes! This is the best of living, in and out of the classroom. Loving our work... and dealing to love our everyday life.

Two students during a period... work cooperatively as co-teachers; they should both prepare ahead of time to be able to be relied upon to maintain things moving smoothly. At the same time, students want this pair to ensure success: in the event the student teachers prosper, so will the rest of the class. They help the other to ensure success... as friends effort.

We also needs to encourage and prepared for flexibility and spontaneity in the way we make valuable use in our time together. Issues appear... which need immediate attention. In addition, we would like to periodically evaluate how we're all doing. What are our strengths? Where might we improve? This is necessarily a continuing process. Be as genuinely upbeat and encouraging as you can. Once again... this learning experience transfers to everyone's own life situation. Think of how this could and does benefit future and current family and community life. It works! The best critics and supporters... are students themselves.
It is really a beautiful experience, also from my standpoint as both a teacher and student. Much affection is openly encouraged. Students are needing to visit class. Boredom as well as the need to cheat fade from existence. Memorable moments are experienced. Students invited others to see: parents, staff members, community mentors, siblings, and also visitor/participants from the "special class" which, in turn, invited our students to visit their room and present to them also. Their teacher was thrilled to participate in. A not-so-foreign exchange.
Perhaps our only problem: hardly lots of time to you must do everything we had arrived needing to accomplish. Hence... it had become the individual's replacement for carry on and develop his/her own objectives beyond our limited class time. Many "projects" were done outside, and then the results were shared with the group. Fantastic variety! One senior lad had initiated his very own business when you purchase one porta-potty being rented for farmworkers in the field (having not one other such facility); he earned enough, eventually, to get one more, continuing to maintain them well. An accomplishment for himself... yet others. A young woman inside a junior class crocheted warm and attractive baby blankets being first given and later on sold as lovely and useful items; I still use mine, decades later.
Life skills were a constant, including curriculum lessons and creating a lifelong joy and appreciation for learning, and living nearly as good a life as you can, plus using an immediate and extended positive affect others. Horizontal management... a blessing to all... along with a horizon without limit or boundaries.
