Have you been experiencing a nagging feeling about returning to college? Is it because you're unhappy within your career, or hit a plateau and require new things? Well for me, a minimum of several years had passed before I began to consider quietly to myself about if I is going back to Medical Colleges In Orlando Florida to pursue a Master's Degree. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of Michigan in 1996, and I thought I was carried out with degree for the remainder of my life. However, from a stressful series of unfulfilling jobs and experiencing several layoffs in a very tough job economy, I realized that I needed to produce my resume with additional education to create me a worth more asset and employee. The job postings that I attemptedto sign up for desired individuals with a Master's Degree and many a lot of professional experience of various fields. The starting salaries normally were a minimum of $10k a lot more than what I was earning during the time, so those positions really seemed irresistible to me. Although the task prospects were exciting and I felt that my current work experience and education was good enough, apparently it wasn't because those positions required applicants to experience a Master's Degree. According to the CensusBureau's 2009 Current Population Survey, only 7.9% with the adult population within the United States carries a Master's Degree. As exclusive as that number sounds and attempting to be a part of that demographic, it turned out tough to contemplate returning to college to get another degree and spend 1000s of dollars in doing so, especially after being out of school for such a long time.
As fate would have it, the trigger that woke me up out of complacency occurred at the office one day, in March 2011, when I became disheartened by the work ethic and extreme sales tactics with the company I was employed by during the time. I was frustrated with apathetic co-workers, the task, the 110 mile round-trip commute, as well as the hours. It scared me where my life was at that time. I also became worrisome about the task hopping that's developing on my resume, to no fault of my own - company layoffs and financial woes. Consequently, surviving in Michigan during the worst recession in my life (2007-to the current), I took jobs to spend the rent while searching for a much better job. I even thought about moving out of state, but I already spent 5yrs on the East Coast, and then have to move back home as soon as the events of 9/11 during my beloved New York City. However, by living in a very state hard hit by the recession and struggling with high unemployment rates, that in of itself forced my hand and provided me the motivation to seek a much better life professionally, and financially, by looking into making careful analysis go back to college.
In the back of my mind, I automatically knew which university to sign up for, and what things to study for. I pride myself in becoming a decisive person, so when the seed was planted during my mind, I knew what I had to do. Based with a hobby that I are actually active set for the better part of several years, writing web taking part in social websites developments, I knew that this Communications field was the longer term career for me. I used on Eastern Michigan University and also got accepted and started my put in the Fall of 2011. As of this moment, I am taking 6 credits a semester, and after 5 classes so far, while working full-time, and actively engaged during my personal social websites work, I have a 4.0 GPA. I was intended as last Medical Colleges In Orlando Florida and I could not become more elated and feeling proud! I am scheduled to graduate having a Master's Degree in Communication within the Fall of 2013, and I want to create my own communications based web business, and also work within the public sector in aiding a company with its communication and marketing needs. I only wish I could make this decision earlier, but upon reflection, that is the best time have school as I know 100% what my goals are, and I am far more mentally and emotionally stable to show the discipline that working full-time and driving to class during the night requires.
